New York's famous Empire State Building had images of endangered animals flashed across its walls this weekend. The aim was to raise awareness about these animals and risks of extinction. Pictures of snow leopards, tigers and various animals were shown on On Saturday night, the most famous building in New York City will be aglow with images of endangered species as part of Oceanic Preservation Society’s “Projecting Change on the Empire State Building.” The one-of-a-kind event is the brainchild of which is famous for its light displays. This weekend, large images of endangered species were projected onto the south facade of New York's famous building. The large scale projections are in part inspired by and produced by the filmmakers of an upcoming documentary called 'Racing Extinction One of New York City's most famous photographs turned 80 Thursday. "Lunch Atop A Skyscraper," showing 11 workers eating lunch while sitting on a steel beam 800 feet above Rockefeller Center, was taken on September 20, 1932.
